Design & Display

The Galaxy Note20 Ultra measures 164.8x77.2x8.1mm and weighs 208g. Consequently, it is thinner and lighter. The body has a stainless steel mid-frame and the brand new Gorilla Glass 7 in both front and back featuring enhanced durability. It has an IP68 standard, which makes it dust- and water-resistant up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.

The Galaxy Notes have their own distinct design, and the Note20 Ultra is not an exception. It has a much classier design compared to the S series with sharper corners, thinner bezel, smaller selfie camera and the omission of ‘Space Zoom 100X’ branding from the back of the phone.

The colors offered for this model are Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black and Mystic White.

The screen is a 6.90 Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a 1440x3088px resolution. Its aspect ratio is 19.3:9, which leads to 496ppi pixel density. Its 120Hz refresh rate comes with 240Hz touch sampling giving it a faster touch input detection. 

All this means that the Galaxy Note20 Ultra uses the most high-end technology we have ever seen up to date. It has the best resolution, the fastest refresh rate, the highest brightness, great color reproduction and the beloved S Pen. 

It is noteworthy to say that the display supports HDR10+ and Always-on display, as well. The peak brightness is 1500nits, and the color accuracy is perfect. Also, the natural mode offers a faithful reproduction of sRGB content, which is very accurate.

Internal design, UI and Performance

The operating system on this smartphone is Android 10 on One UI 2.5, which is an updated version of OneUI. 

It offers features like system-wide dark mode, gesture navigation, and the Edge panels. There is also the Edge lighting feature that lights up the outline of the UI in a wide variety of glow types as an alarm for notifications.

A piece of exciting news was that the Note20 Ultra supports Nearby Share, which is Google's recent universal sharing feature for Androids.

Another recent sharing option is Quick Share that uses Bluetooth for device discovery and Wi-Fi direct. Music share is another amusing sharing option that is enabled by Bluetooth 5. With this feature, your phone can be used as a hub for other phones to connect to a BT speaker.

The Note20 Ultra is made in two versions of chipsets. The chipset in regions like North America, Japan, China and South Korea is the Snapdragon 865+ SoC while the chipset in Europe, Australia, India and Brazil is the Exynos 990. As for the memory, it comes with an impressive 12 GB RAM and the options for memory storage are 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.

Camera

The main camera has a 108MP quality with a big Nonacell sensor. The stabilized front lens has a 26mm equivalent focal length with an aperture of f/1.8. 

The Ultra Wide Angle camera has a 12MP 1/2.55" sensor that uses an f/2.2 aperture lens and offers a 120-degree field of view.

The Night mode capture is twice as fast as the older models and the periscope has a great impact on the image quality in this mode.

The Note20 Ultra's Adaptive refresh rate mode can help with the battery life by only delivering sufficient Hz needed for each task.  Your phone can be charged up to 50 percent in half an hour with a 25W adapter.

 The battery supports Fast Qi/PMA wireless charging 2.0 up to 15W and Reverse wireless charging up to 9W. It offers 24 hours of standby battery life as well as Wireless Power Share. With Power Share, you can charge other devices off of the Note20 Ultra's back up to 9W.

Speakers

The Galaxy Note20 Ultra has an extraordinary speaker with two stereos that has a balanced frequency response and perfect quality. The first speaker is a loudspeaker on the bottom while the earpiece acts as the second speaker. 

The S Pen

There have been significant enhancements on the S Pen to help you enjoy this high-end smartphone even more!

The latency has improved immensely, and the responsiveness is better than ever. The new improvements offer you a feature called AI Point Prediction.
